| Author bio: I as born Ann Ritchie (now Domela)in the beautiful city of Boston with the strong desire to become an author, to see my name in print and the dream to have long lines of people waiting for my autograph. Like all too many, the dream stayed in the fantasy category until my six children were grown and I was officially retired from the work place. There had already been many successful attempts to get published in magazines in newspapers. And even one event where a long line of people stood in line for my autograph for a newspaper article. But a book? a few friends encouraged her to "just go for it". She did. First was Triangle of Fear. It started as a contemporary book, but the main character forced her to take it back to the end of the Civil War. then Fall of Fear, Banned in Boston and If Only. Currently on Smashwords is the latest, What If. I am currently working on a sequel to Banned as well as book on the Civil War. I am also traveling all over the United States offering free lectures to assist others who have the same dream. |

| Short Erotic Tales 1 | by Carl East March 28, 2010 | 75964 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: I was born In Hull, Yorkshire, England in 1956. I started to write at the age of 44 in the year 2000 and I wasn't very good. I slowly learned over the years that followed, mainly from people online who gave up their time to help me. I chose to write imaginative things and sometimes allowed my own imagination to get away from me. I started with erotic tales before going onto more serious stuff, although having said that my erotic stories have been popular. The first book I published was "The Second Apprentice" followed closely by "The Talking Sword" both of which are sword and sorcerer type tales. My favorite release though was "Hell's Gate" and that one's doing very well now. Because my erotic stories are so popular, I will keep writing them. I'm well known for setting fair prices for my stories. One of them for instance is called "The Ultimate Collection of short erotic tales 1 & 2" and is priced at $2.99. If you were to buy each story separately, that book would cost you over $30. I now live in America and have done for the past 5 years. I'm very happily married and intend to stay that way. Carl |

| Author bio: Hi! My name is Amanda Fox. I write literary erotica as well as black humour. Sometimes I even put the two together. And I know this may sound strange, but I find inspiration in some of the craziest places - Viggo Mortensen, rap videos, people hanging around the bus station, and Angelina Jolie’s lips, just to name a few. When I’m not writing, I like doing things with my family. I also like running, skipping (yes, with a rope), dancing, listening to music, and watching movies. Oh, and I LOVE cats - don’t judge me. You can find my work in print in Maxim Jakubowski's "The Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica 9", in Violet Blue's "Sweet Love", and in Cole Riley's "Too Much Boogie: Erotic Remixes of the Dirty Blues". Also, look for my upcoming book entitled "TheFurFiles". Think Ann Landers meets Family Guy, Mother Theresa meets Dane Cook, and baby deer meets honey badger. It's relationship advice you'll never forget. |

| Author bio: I can’t remember a time when I didn’t want to be a writer when I grew up, but there were plenty of times when I wasn’t sure I ever would be. As it turns out, it just took me about twenty years longer to grow up than I expected! On the road to publication, I took a few detours, including a stint in academia (I hold an MA in Classics from the University of Chicago and was a recipient of a Mellon Fellowship in the Humanities) and many years as a technical writer/instructional designer for a data processing company. I still hold my day job in instructional design, but my true passion is writing steamy romances–both historical and contemporary. I learned to believe in love at first sight when I met the man of my dreams over two decades ago and to believe in happily ever after when I married him. I live in Southern California with my real-life hero, our three children, and an ever-changing menagerie of pets. |

| Author bio: When I was younger I always had an interest in trying to do some writing, but it never came to much at all. About five years after I was forced to give up working due to disability I was finally able to take the step that had eluded me for years. My first experiment with writing was to try to write a 50,000 word novel in one month, using the parameters of the website National Novel Writing Month. It was a challenge I was fortunately able to complete, and I guess that got me over my initial hesitation. It's a website I would recommend to anyone who would like to try their hand at writing. I don't spend all of my time with this hobby as I still have my primary hobby of pursuing my family genealogy. The limitations placed on me with my MS also keeps me from spending as much time writing as I would like to sometimes. Add to that my normal bad habit of procrastination, and sometimes I wonder how I ever managed to get anything done. |

| Prescription For Love | by Fiona McGier July 06, 2010 | 56137 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: I write contemporary erotic romance novels. Contemporary because having sex without birth control is a scary thought. Erotic, because I love to read books with sex scenes in them, so I write them too. And romance because the drive to pair up is a most basic human need, but the ways it can happen are endlessly fascinating. I write contemporary erotic romance novels about strong, independent women who are busy living their lives. When they meet equally strong, independent men, the sparks fly! Sooner or later one or both of them realize they are meant to be together for the long-term, and the "dance of love" moves to a whole new level of seriousness. I write about women you might want to be friends with, or be; and men you will fall in love with...I always do! I write happily-ever-after endings, because I really believe they are possible...not easy, but achievable. And I write hot scenes between the heroine and hero because that's the way they tell me their stories in my head! I'm only the messenger! (grin). |

| Cotcote Girls Exposed | by Cindy May Feb. 03, 2012 | 51007 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Hi, All the advice is that I'm supposed to write a profile, but I find it a lot easier to write about the characters in my novels than about me. If I write it one way it sounds so boring that I wouldn't read it, so why inflict it on you. If I do it the other way, it sounds as if I think there are only two good authors in history, me and Will Shakespeare, and that is worse. There are at least three good authors ! When I have read bios from other authors, I'm not too concerned with where they went to school, what their favorite color is or whether they are 4 feet tall or 8 feet tall. I want to know "what makes them tick" and "What is it that they are trying to say?" The average bio just does not tell me, and I'm not sure if I know how to say it, so I'd prefer to let my characters talk for me. Maybe the best bet is to tell you what and why I write. Well, first off, I enjoy doing it, so even if you hate my books, there is one person that likes 'em - me! I have read a cross section of literature over the years. In most genres there is plenty of variety, and that makes a book or a film good, as you don't know what will happen. I recall reading one novel and there was a subplot with a cute Chinese gal. I wondered if she was going to make it to the end of the story or not. At various times, it looked bad for her, and in the end I was more concerned about her than the main plot. With most "Romance", the plot is 'girl meets boy; girl loses boy, girl regains boy'. If there is a good girl/bad girl battle, you know on page ONE which is which, so you know what will happen on p336. All that the other 334 pages do is to fill in the precise details. With erotica, the sex can be much steamier, and the HEA (Happy Ever After) is not necessary, but the girls are often just a system to transport the sexy bits from one bed to the next bed. That is degrading to women, and it stinks! I even saw a review where the reviewer PRAISED the lack of character development or plot. If the review was fair, then I do not think I would care much for that book. People are not self-propelled sex organs seeking another organ. They have all sorts of hopes, fears, desires, hang-ups, and that is what makes us act as we do. I wanted real people to inhabit my novels. I wanted Mary Beth and Kitty, Lady Annabelle and Mavis, Tanya, Svetlana, Abby, Tracy and Phoebe to be people you can relate to, and even think, “Yeah, I knew someone like that.†I guess another influence that impelled me to write is that there are things I feel strongly about. In the US, one phrase that gets me real mad is “trailer trashâ€. Someone may come from a poor background and live in grim surroundings, but that does not automatically make them trash to be despised. There are plenty of nasty people to be found in such circumstances, but you can find nasty people in the most luxurious penthouse as well. Has anyone written about a Penthouse Pig?In “Gold Medal Mommaâ€, there is a Trailer park gal. Does she deserve to be called trash? In the UK there are similar phrases. In “The Lady and the Slut†the yawning gap between a gal who is the daughter of the Manor House and a gal whose mum was the village slut is central to the story. “Three Brides and One Guy†opens just after the collapse of the Soviet Union, and recalls the horrific ethnic cleansing in Chechnya where Russian families fled or died. Those that fled back to Russia faced discrimination. "Three Brides" explored a whole host of issues. In "The Slutlets Get Mad", the Conroy twins, Tracy and Phoebe take center stage in a sexy action packed tale set in the Cotswolds and Moscow with an explosive finale. There's plenty of sex, plenty of adventure and a chance to get to know Abby and her two daughters better. 'Even When You Lie' and its Sequel. 'Cotcote Babes' enter the world of office politics, office sex and the notorious Christmas Party. An interracial affair kicks off between an Asian girl and an English guy, but soon they must run for their lives from an Honour Killing. Add a gold digger who sets out to nail the boss and a gal whose mom dumped her like a carton from a fast food meal when she was five and the there is a heady mix of sex, love, lust, betrayal and drama. 'Once Upon an Office' depicts the self-contaied world of office politics and office sex. By highlighting these issues in a novel, I can say "Hey, what about this?" To take the easiest one, we all know that phrase "trailer trash", but people are NOT trash because of where they live. PERIOD. I would apply the trash label to the person who thinks of another human being in those terms, as it is nasty and unfair. OK, I guess I'd better calm down! If you decide to read one of my novels, I hope that YOU will ask yourself a few questions at the end of it. The characters are imaginary, but the problems they face are real, and real people face them every single day. Often the emotional baggage that the characters carry, or the way other people react to them, determines what will happen. I do kind of like a story where someone from the wrong side of the tracks makes good in the end, and I don’t like a story where the bad guy or bad girl are top of the compost heap on the last page. If you want to find out about my novels type in Cindy May in a search engine or on Smashwords, Amazon etc, and you should find a link I do have a website on Google with a write up on my books and a few personal thoughts etc. https://sites.google.com/site/cindymaywriter/ I think I’ve said enough. | Author bio: I live near the Gulf Coast of Texas with my amazing, new, hero-esque husband of one year, who inspires me more than he knows. We share a home with his bingo lovin' mama and I'm reluctantly becoming more and more charmed by his roley-poley, cantankerous chihuahua. In the beginning, I got started writing sexy, steamy short stories on a whim - just to see if I could do it. Then, as I realized that my imagination was expansive but my technique was on the short side, I started researching and honing my skills. Caught within the agonizing process of letting go to take the next step, I'm frantically 'building a platform' and putting myself out there. I've got a ways to go, but I love every minute of the journey! I love getting feedback and talking to people about my work (or theirs!) - so feel free to connect me online: http://summerellisbooks.com/ Thank you again for your support! |

Hopefully as I continue writing I will get better with time. And hopefully everyone will be patient with me as I try my hand at this. |
