“Admit it Joshua, we are lost.” Eleanor’s voice rang out in the cramped confines of the car. They had been driving around this particular stretch of road for more than an hour and a half. Once they had left the main road, the number of houses they had passed had dwindled until now all that could be seen from the windows was the dark forest.

Joshua swallowed a sharp retort and chose instead to concentrate on the wet road ahead. The windscreen wipers squeaked back and forth as large drops of rain plopped heavily across the glass. This trip had been Eleanor’s idea. Joshua would have preferred to spend his weekend at home relaxing but she wanted get away from it all. He had to admit that lately their relationship had been a little strained. He was gradually staying later every evening at work. The bustle of the office was easier to deal with than Eleanor’s constant nit picking. Of course, the little blonde temp with the pert ass who always had a smile for him helped. He did love Eleanor but everything seemed like a chore these days. He missed the spark of passion they used to share. It was as though the woman he had fallen in love with had disappeared.

“Are you even listening to me?” Eleanor’s voice grated in his ears.

“Yes, it would be hard to miss your incessant whining.” He knew he was being petty and mean but he was tired.

“Whining? I’m not the one who has us lost out here in the middle of no man’s land.”

“We wouldn’t even be here if you hadn’t wanted to escape from everything.”

“That’s what you think isn’t it? You really think this is about me? Do you not care about this relationship at all Joshua?” He watched from the corner of his eye as she flipped her long dark hair back over one shoulder before turning to stare at him. If he was honest at that moment he would have given anything to grab her hair and yank her head back. He wanted to expose the long column of her neck, so he could run his tongue along her exposed creamy skin. He knew what she would taste like, the sweet berry body wash she always used. The taste of her intoxicated him, it always had, but it had been so long since they had bothered with being intimate.

He snapped his attention back to the road. She had been talking to him the entire time he was imagining what it would feel like to taste her.

“Pull over.”

“What?” Her words hit him like a bucket of ice water. “I can’t pull over here. We’re in the middle of nowhere.”

“I don’t care. Just pull over right now.” He heard the threat in her voice. Anger bubbled up within him. The argument they were about to have would go nowhere. It would be the same old same old. She would call him all the names under the sun and he would do the same to her. She would inform him of how useless he was and how her family thought him to be completely worthless. Her family really did hate him and it would only make them too happy to see the relationship end.

He indicated and pulled the car onto the hard shoulder. It rolled slowly to a halt and he pulled the handbrake lever upwards. He watched as his knuckles slowly turned white. Would they ever be able to go back to the way they were?

“Happy?” He turned to her and watched as the tears trickled slowly down her cheeks. Her blue eyes swam with unshed crystal drops.

“Do I look happy? I haven’t been happy for a long time now Joshua, surely you have noticed?”

Dread filled the pit of his stomach, this wasn’t the normal way their arguments went. The way she was talking sounded like the end.

“It’s been rough but surely every couple has periods like this?”

He watched as she dashed her hands across her face, brushing the tears away. The smell of her delicate perfume drifted across to him and tickled his nose. He wanted to pull her across the divide and kiss away each of the tears. She looked so vulnerable and it excited him.

She sighed in frustration and slammed her hand down on the dashboard. “Damn it, Joshua, I know you don’t love me anymore. Just admit it and be done. I can’t live like this anymore. I thought us going away together might help but I can see now it was a huge mistake. I can remember when you looked at me with desire and love in your eyes. I don’t see it there anymore. Do you realise how much that hurts?” Her words filled the car with tension. She thought he didn’t care anymore? She was the one who didn’t care. If he recalled correctly it was she who started the arguments.

“You can’t speak for me. You don’t know what I feel.”

“Rebecca told me about the little blonde temp. That’s why you stay late at work isn’t it? How long have you been seeing her?”

“You’ve been spying on me?” The words exploded from his lips. It didn’t occur to him to deny it. Yeah he had looked but he certainly hadn’t touched. When had looking become a crime?

Tears rolled faster down her face and dripped onto the blue satin blouse she wore leaving large dark spots. “So she was right? A temp Joshua? Really? Am I truly that repulsive to you that you had to relieve yourself with a temp?”

He attempted to grab her as she fumbled with the door handle. She shrugged away from him and jumped from the car. The rain quickly soaked her hair and moulded the blouse to her curvy frame. He followed after her, easily catching up to her as she stumbled along the road. Her stiletto heels clicked on the tarmac as he spun her back to face him.

“Where are you going?” He felt the rain seeping through his grey t-shirt but he honestly didn’t care.

“Anywhere away from you.” She hiccupped as her tears mingled with the rain.

Joshua leaned in and crushed his lips against hers, the taste of her leaving him light headed as he nibbled along the edge of her full pink lips. She struggled against his grip but he was much bigger than her and held her easily. Pulling back he stared into her wide blue eyes. Her hand connected with his face before he could even think to stop her.

He grabbed her upper arms and pinned them to her sides before swooping down over her mouth once more. This time he held nothing back and allowed the frustrations he had felt to pour into his kiss.

She bit his lip and he chuckled as he tasted the metallic tang of his blood. There was the passion he knew and loved. If only he could get her body to respond to him then all would not be lost. Pulling back from her once more, he tugged her towards the dark tree line. There were no houses nearby and he had yet to see a car pass. They couldn’t have found a more secluded spot even if they had tried.

“What are you doing? Joshua, let me go!” Her voice was high and breathy as he forced her to stumble along behind him. Stepping down into the grassy verge he tugged her down after him. He spun her around until her back was pressed against one of the large oak trees that lined the road way.

“I’m doing what I have to do.” He grunted the words at her as he grabbed the front of her blouse and ripped it open. The buttons gave easily and scattered onto the grass covered ground.

Her cry of outrage quickly turned to a whimper as he cupped her heavy breasts through the thin fabric of her lace bra. Her rosy nipples quickly responded to his touch as he stroked his thumb across each one in turn. Lowering his face, he gently bit one pink nub, sucking it through the lace. Looking up at her face he watched as Eleanor threw her head back and closed her eyes. Her moans came in small gasps as he traced his tongue over the sensitive bud.

Coming upright he did the one thing he had been longing to do since they had sat into the car. He wrapped one large fist into her brown hair and yanked her head back. She whimpered again as he nibbled from her jaw line down across her creamy neck until he reached her shoulder. He sank his teeth into her shoulder as he fumbled with the button on the top of her jeans. Tugging them down he pressed his hand against her cunt. His fingers found her to be slick and warm he smiled as he snapped the buttons on his jeans open and let them fall to the ground.

Eleanor moaned as she watched him through half lidded eyes. For all the arguing they had done, making up was not something they had often indulged in and Joshua regretted it. Perhaps if they had then it would not have come to this. Eleanor would know that he loved her, craved her even.

Her small hands found his cock and she stroked him gently. It was his turn to moan as she pumped him slowly in her fist. The blood pumped faster and faster in his veins until it felt like it pumped in time to the motion of Eleanor’s hand. He groaned as she pumped harder. He knew if she continued on with what she was doing then he wouldn’t last very long.

Pushing her body back against the tree trunk he hoisted one of her long legs and thrust up into her body. She opened to him slowly and he struggled to press the length of his shaft inside her. Her body quivered in his grip as he pushed all the way inside her. He held himself still as he drank in the feel of her body wrapped around his. Her arousal coated his shaft as he withdrew slowly before slamming back up into her. She cried out over and over as he began to pound his cock up into her warm body. Opening her cunt to his hard shaft he drove himself up into her belly.

He could feel his balls beginning to tighten. The wet sounds of their bodies slapping together was driving him closer and closer to the edge. Joshua knew from the sound of her moans that Eleanor was close too. He crushed his lips against hers once more, stealing the breath from the moan that tried to escape from her mouth. He drove his cock high inside her as he pinned her against the tree and the trembling within her body exploded. He felt wave after wave wrack her body. Her cunt clenched around him pushing him over the edge. He went willingly, and roared his release against the curve of her neck.

He felt his seed erupt inside her, flooding her warm body with his need. She whimpered and dragged her nails down across his back as he thrust into her one last time, filling her. He collapsed against her, his breathing ragged. Slowly his heart beat slowed to normal and his breathing grew quiet. Eleanor was pressed against his body and he could feel the warmth of her skin beneath his touch. Slipping from her body he pulled his jeans back into place.

She stood against the tree with her eyes closed and Joshua felt worry pour up through him. He brushed his hand against her face and pushed a strand of her dark hair back behind her ear.

“Why did you do that?” Her voice was small, little more than a whisper against the rain that continued to pour from the sky. The tree they stood beneath at least provided them some shelter but it couldn’t shelter them from the hurt and damage that was done to their relationship.

“I needed to show you how much I want you. Only Eleanor. It’s always been only you. I love you, why can’t you seem to understand that?”

She opened her eyes slowly and he could see the anguish that filled them. “But the temp, the little blonde one. How could you?”

“I didn’t. I wouldn’t Eleanor. It’s you I want. I know we’ve been a bit rocky over the past few months but that will change. I promise. Believe that I love you. I would never hurt you like that.” He watched as the anguish was slowly replaced with relief. She knew when he was telling the truth, she always had. If he had cheated on her she would have known about it.

“I love you.” He cupped her face gently and pressed his forehead against hers.

“We have a lot to sort out.” She answered him, her blue eyes searching his for any sign of reluctance.

“I know, we will.”

She smiled at him then, a small shy smile that filled his heart with joy. This was the woman he had fallen in love with. She was still here it seemed. He just hadn’t searched hard enough. He watched as she pulled her jeans back up over the curve of her hips. She pulled her blouse together as best she could and smiled coyly at him.

“You couldn’t wait to unbutton it?”

“Nope.” Her giggle caused him to burst out laughing. He kissed her softly before taking her hand and leading her back to their abandoned car.
