| Dreamer | by Nicki DeLante May 19, 2012 | 1284 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: A simple woman with a less than simple life, and a mind that sometimes runs away with me. Sometimes, when its quiet, and God knows its very rarely quiet where I live, dreams and words meet in my head and flow out of my fingertips. They aren't always graceful, they aren't always eloquent, but when it works... I find that it works well... as ever I can but aspire to be more than what I am, even if it is only in my head. |

| Dress Me Up In Your Fantasy | by Rae Smith Feb. 16, 2012 | 4744 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Sitting down to write this a bio freaks me out a little bit. It's like standing up in public and having to speak, and you look around the room, open your mouth to speak and all that comes out is a scratchy squeak. That’s me. I’m shy. Always have been and most likely always will be. But, anyway, here goes. I am in my forties, and I live in England with my wonderful husband, my three amazingly brilliant children, and my beloved laptop. No pets. I've been making up stories almost since I learned how to talk. When I was little, my family used to call them my ‘tall tales’ but I remained undeterred and carried on telling them, eventually writing them down when I discovered pretty notebooks and pens. I love writing. I have always enjoyed sharing my imagination with other people. And if I go long periods without writing, I get a little testy, according to my family. I started out posting my stories for free on the internet – mainly LiveJournal, but then, through the encouragement of some of my readers I decided to pursue the idea of getting published via the eBook route. My readers are some of the most loving, loyal, and awesome people. They’ve stood by me through all my doubts and worries, and kept me on track when the panic sets in. If it wasn’t for them, I’d still be dealing with an inert sense of inferiority, and be plagued with self-doubt. I like to write in a wide variety of genres and cover a host of subjects, but my heart will always be with erotic romance. There's something magical about two people (be they gay, straight, or in-between) finding each other and fighting against all odds to reach happily ever after. If my characters and their stories can touch just one other person--can take his mind off his troubles or make her day seem just a little bit brighter--then I feel like I've done something important. |

| Erotic Tales: Ride A Cock Horse (Revised) | by Severin Rossetti Dec. 08, 2010 | 3902 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Severin Rossetti was a teacher of fine art, but now works in a Liverpool museum/gallery, less money but a lot less stress. At the same time that he turned from teaching fine art, he also turned from its practice -have you seen the crap that passes for fine art these days?!?- to concentrate on writing. After many rejection slips he finally had some encouragement. 'Interesting,' said one editor, 'but it lacks passion. Spice it up a bit.' Which he did, only to be told 'wow!'... 'well!'... 'spiced up, yes, but we can't possibly publish this!' Fortunately, others could, with the result that his erotic stories have been published in the UK and the USA in various magazines and anthologies. Novels and short story collections have also been published in the US by Renaissance Ebooks.com. If the erotic genre is not your thing, however, please note that also available on Smashwords are more 'serious' works, some for sale but many for free. Strange, though, that the erotic genre is proving the most popular, and especially the free ones. So... a cry from the heart... feel free to try the free ones but PLEASE, also, splash out a dollar or two if you can afford it! And if you want to know any more, please contact the author at severinrossetti@aol.com |

| Gia's Free Spirit | by Kendel Davi April 17, 2012 | 6006 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Kendel Davi was born in New York City. The reason I say “born†is because, when I was living there, I started to see the world for everything it has to offer. The experiences I had were the seed that bloomed into the writer that I am today. However, the journey has not been a easy one and yet it has been very rewarding. When you allow yourself to open up and not judge but listen, you can’t help but grow and with that comes a greater understanding of humanity. Whether you are LBGT or straight, no matter what you enjoy, it’s all linked to making a connection. So why have a focus on writing ethnic erotica? Well, I see this world through the eyes of a person of color, yet that doesn’t limit what I write about. It only adds the stories that I create. Whatever ethnicity that develops in my head when I’m creating a character I’ll write about. Whether they are East Indian, African, Latino, Middle Eastern, Asian, Caucasian, Pacific Islander or mixed I trust what’s in my head and go for it. It can be humorous, emotionally challenging or down right sensual. The object is to get the reader involved and feel something. For me it’s all about diversity. Skin tone, body shape, sexual orientation… The truth lies behind why a character wants what they want. Once you know what that, the rest is just the journey to show it. It’s a colorful, multifaceted world we live in so why not try to explore ever aspect of it? So, I welcome those of you who want to follow my journey. It’s going to be a fun ride. Kendel has work published through Naughty Nights Press and the short story “Tongue Tied†won 2nd Place as part of the Girlzporn.com 1st Annual Short Story Competition. |

Or to write the scenes that didn’t get filmed or written in the original work. I have given away more than a million words on fanfic; but I discovered that I had a million more in my head. And they were my words, my characters and my stories. I am an overeducated Australian single mother. I feel I should be witty and informative about how many children and household pets I have, but really the chickens lay eggs and I am yet to see what use the teenagers are. I also read a lot and play my music loud... really loud. |

But not in that order. I started writing as hobby just after leaving university in 1998, and in 2005 my first short story was published by the subscription website Ruthie’s Club. Phaze published my first novel, Charlotte’s Secret, in 2008. Eternally & Evermore is my forth Phaze novel. Originally from Wolverhampton in The Black County, I now live in the Northamptonshire countryside just a stone’s throw from where Princess Diana is buried and the Gunpowder Plot was plotted. It’s far cry from my inner-city roots, but that’s what an education does for you. I studied at the University of Aberystwyth and the University of Swansea. When I'm not writing, blogging, counting other people’s money or being a loving husband and father, I enjoy the peace and quiet of my garden, where he grows all types of quite magnificent fruit and vegetables. |

| Author bio: Take one part Appalachian redneck, one part aging wet dream, and one part filthy-minded wordsmith. Mix well and serve with chocolate-covered cherries. There you have the one and only Alessia Brio. Alessia writes all colors and flavors of erotica, from heterosexual to menage to same sex, and from twisted to humorous to deeply touching. (Sometimes, usually by accident, it even qualifies as romance.) Her work has earned her critical acclaim in the form of a few EPIC eBook Awards for Best Erotica, a couple Next Generation Indie Book Awards, and a Romantic Times Top Pick in addition to a plethora of glowing online reviews. Not all of Alessia's publications are allowed here on Smashwords due to censorship. Readers interested in the full catalog are encouraged to visit her label's website at www.PurpleProsaic.com |
