I've got two Valentines Day themed books that will be coming out in February. One is several shorts about how several established couples spend Valentines Day and the other is five longer stories about starting relationships on Valentines Day. |

| Let's Make a Deal | by Bad Penny Press Sep. 14, 2011 | 3957 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Bad Penny Press provides hardcore erotica that doesn't necessarily cross the line, but proudly stomps all over it. Our most popular stories center around "family-friendly" erotica, where love and lust know no bounds, just respected limits, but keep it all in the family. And there are many stories of cross-generational gay and heterosexual encounters, those demonstrating that an age difference makes no difference when it comes to sexual hunger, are the current primary focus. With PayPal's recent decision to back off from demanding that incestuous content no longer be offered on Smashwords, we are happily republishing our collections. Some Bad Penny Press stories spring from fertile imaginations, while a number of them are based upon true experiences. Rape and BDSM stories do not have a home here. Please enjoy Bad Penny Press in moderation. Aw, hell... take as much as you want! |

| My Secret Lover | by Ronnie Coleinger Sep. 18, 2011 | 3837 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: As an author of fiction and science fiction novels and short story collections, I have begun to realize that some of you out there may not believe in the concept of time travel. I find myself speechless over this discovery, however, I feel it my duty to guide my readers towards a time in Earth’s future when time travel is commonplace. My collection of science fiction genre eBooks deal with a time travel method that uses vessels (membranes) created from eleventh-dimension string energy to support human life as they travel through the cosmos. You will find a wealth of information on my website to support my design concepts for the time travel membranes, travel computers, and travel watches, along with information about the eleventh dimension and string energy. Those of you who feel the need to explore our universe and the cosmos, in which we humans live, may find the concepts of eleventh-dimension time travel to be exciting and possibly downright exhilarating. Within the human mind lies the ability to explore the cosmos without physical limitations or barriers. We can travel to new, yet unexplored places within the cosmos and create entities that will challenge the human mind to comprehend. Let your mind find its way to the farthest reaches of the cosmos, where only God has ever ventured. Come join me on a journey towards the end of time, a time in the 601st century when the Andromeda and Milky Way Galaxies merge. I wrote of an ancient prophesy that spoke of the ending of the human race and all of time, but it also spoke of the reemergence in the new age. Ronnie Coleinger |

| Not Quite Casper: an Aether Vitalis Short Story | by Mercy Loomis Oct. 18, 2011 | 2877 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Mercy Loomis grew up in a haunted house, and has had quite enough of ghosts for one lifetime, thank you. Though she now lives in a 150-year-old house, it is remarkably ghost-free. (That, or they’re staying on the down-low. She doesn’t care which.) Mercy finished writing her first vampire novel when she was in middle school, and hasn’t stopped writing about them since. She loves stories about the paranormal because monsters are scary, but less scary than real people. Or at least less depressing. Mercy graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison one class short of an accidental certificate in Folklore. She credits her love of mythology to her mom reading Greek myths as bedtime stories, and her love of fantastical adventure stories to watching cheesy movies with her dad. Her love of history (and coffee!) is completely her husband’s fault, but she doesn’t know who’s to blame for the fascination with physics. She guesses that hanging out with Dad while he butchered deer also had an effect on her character, but exactly what effect, she leaves up to the reader. See what Mercy’s up to and find links to her other work at www.mercyloomis.com. |

| Party of the First Part | by Fred L. Taulbee Jr. Aug. 11, 2011 | 1908 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: 10 May 2012 I currently teach English part time, usually 5-6 classes per semester for Northwestern State University and Bossier Parish Community College both on the NSU campus in Leesville-Ft. Polk. I also bartend on the weekends. I've been teaching for six years and doing both jobs for four. And when I'm not doing that or writing I'm making movies. See my Youtube channel here: http://www.youtube.com/user/fredderman. My point is I've been too busy to try and publish in hard copy or online mags, which is why I put my stories up on Smashwords. I believe in reading a journal, mag or site before submitting, which eats up even more time. But after a year on Smashwords, it's not working out the way I'd like it. When I try to sell my work on Smashwords for money nobody buys it. So from now on I'm going to try and publish new stories, starting with my latest horror story "A-Haunting We Will Go." (I'm mostly writing all this down for myself, so I remember my plans, and for the two people following my work.) So enjoy the work I have up here right now. What'll happen next is, if my short stories are rejected enough I'll put them up here for free. And I want to start self-publishing hard copy books. I'll probably start with a short story, a few short stories or a book of poetry. PUBLICATION HISTORY I published two short stories in 1994, including "Six Bullets to Kill" in Innisfree and "The Last Tree" in Child Life Magazine. I also won a few campus competitions and published some stories in campus magazines. WORK EXPERIENCE I have an MA in Literature and MFAs in Creative Writing and Film Production. I worked in the film industry for about two years, and it culminated in directing Gothic Vampires From Hell. Forgive me for it. I directed it in the style of the producer. It is available on Netflix. |

| Pinochle or Strip Poker? | by Ernest Winchester May 25, 2011 | 12411 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: I must in all honesty, update this entry, for I stumbled onto the magic key to post a story on Smashwords. It was operator error not one of the poltergeist that I’m sure came preloaded in my computer that prevents me from getting what I want from it. For those of you who didn’t read this bio before—which I’m sure includes the rest of the world’s population—I repeat: I am an old man who loves to write. I started decades ago—the exact number is irrelevant—on a cast iron framed manual typewriter that would now serve little purpose beyond a boat anchor. I love composing fiction on the computer, mainly because of the spell check feature. Why someone who can’t spell worth a damn wants to write, I’ll never be able to explain. I take solace in the knowledge that some well-known writers throughout history were so afflicted. However, I must confess, that is about as far as I can go into this—to me—frightening world of cyberspace. I don’t have accounts on face book (wouldn’t touch it with a ten-foot pole. Almost nightly the news is filled with stories of people murdered by people they have contacted there.) I feel the same way about Myspace, a blog or personal web site. I don’t tweet or twit or what ever that is. That really seems silly--just call them and talk! So I’ll be contented to write and enjoy retirement until the final heartbeat or wayward city buss runs me over. |

| Public Displays | by Geonn Cannon April 09, 2012 | 23095 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Geonn Cannon was born in a barn and raised to know better than that. He was born and raised in Oklahoma where he’s been enslaved by a series of cats, dogs, two birds and one unexpected turtle. He’s spent his entire life creating stories but only became serious about it when he realized it was a talent that could impress girls. Learning to write well was easier than learning to juggle, so a career was underway. His high school years were spent writing stories among a small group of friends and reading whatever books he could get his hands on. Geonn was inspired to create the fictional Squire’s Isle after a 2004 trip to San Juan Island in Washington State. His first novel set on the island, On the Air, was written almost as a side project to another story he wanted to tell. Reception to the story was so strong that the original story was put on the back burner to deal with the world created in On the Air. His second novel set in the same universe, Gemini, was also very well received and went on to win the Golden Crown Literary Society Award for Best Novel, Dramatic/General Fiction. Geonn was the first male author to receive the honor. While some of his novels haven’t focused as heavily on Squire’s Isle, the vast majority of Geonn’s works take place in the same universe and have connections back to the island and its cast of characters (the exception being the Riley Parra series). In addition to writing more novels based on the inhabitants of Squire’s Isle, Geonn hopes to one day move to the real-life equivalent to inspire further stories. In his spare time, Geonn reads as much as possible and writes occasional TV and book reviews for Geek Speak Magazine. |
